The Transparency Act is a new act, adopted by the Norwegian government, which came into force on 1 July 2022. The act aims to promote companies respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions and ensure the general public access to information regarding how companies address adverse impact on these.
The Act requires companies to carry out due diligence assessments in order to stop, prevent and limit negative consequences on human rights and decent working conditions.

CBA’s mission, as a software development company that supports the financial services industry, is to deliver a suite of pioneering, quality banking IT solutions to the world’s banks that satisfy customer requirements and international standards both now and long into the future.
As a lean, fast-moving and developer-focused organisation we are committed to operating within a frame of social responsibility and sustainability, with respect for people, the environment and society. This includes building and nurturing strong and long-lasting relationships with our customers and partners worldwide that deliver enduring value and make a lasting difference.
Our software is also available through a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, helping customers transition from on-premise hardware to more energy efficient data centres. We have also extended the use of our digital platforms to enable meetings, implementation projects and support to be delivered remotely, helping to reduce travel and emissions.
Inward looking: We strive to provide a safe, collaborative workplace free from bullying, inappropriate, and unlawful practices. Our health and safety profile is low risk as an essentially office orientated business with no physical manufacturing. We actively source products for our offices locally and from local suppliers.
Outward looking: CBA is committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals – helping to reduce inequalities, support human rights, and to protect the planet and our natural resources. We encourage philanthropic and volunteering activities, such as sponsoring “Star for Life”, an educational program available in 120 schools in southern Africa.
CBA collaborates with the Global Sustainable Enterprise System (GSES). The GSES platform is an online measurement system for sustainability. It allows companies to measure, monitor and certify their sustainability performance and immediately see areas that should be improved.
All measurements are based on internationally accepted norms and standards. The universally recognised certifications, initiatives and quality marks are guaranteed up-to-date and are consistently reviewed and validated by external objective auditors in 77 countries.
In addition to an annual internal check, CBA’s policies and progress are independently checked by a GSES auditor.
CBA is a sponsor of “Star for Life”, an educational program available in 120 schools in southern Africa. CBA’s employees have also become actively involved in sponsorship activities.
