Singapore – BCS Information Systems Private Limited (BCSIS) and Commercial Banking Applications AS (CBA) announced their collaboration agreement to bring the Norwegian software vendor’s banking solutions to the Asia/Pacific market. As part of this agreement, the two companies have agreed to cooperate in the marketing and selling of CBA’s IBAS banking solutions to customers in the Asia/Pacific region.
Commenting on this new agreement, Mr. Øivind Gunnerud, CBA’s Chairman: “We strongly believe that BCSIS is the right partner for us in Asia/Pacific and we look forward to many successes in bringing the IBAS banking products to the Asia/Pacific market. ”
The strength of BCSIS comes from the numerous implementations of payments and clearing systems for both central banks and commercial banks. As a leader in the payment and clearing arena, BCSIS is able to bring its expertise and domain knowledge to augment CBA in offering IBAS to their commercial bank customers.

BCSIS will be CBA’s partner in the region, and will manage all marketing and sales activities of the IBAS products. In addition, BCSIS will also manage IBAS implementations throughout the Asia/Pacific. Under the terms of the agreement, BCSIS will also be establishing an IBAS ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Asia/Pacific with support from CBA. Customer banks will then be assured of continued outstanding support and maintenance.
